Building site and construction security jobs

Gatehouse, compound and night security on construction sites across the West Midlands, working alongside main contractors and site managers.

KBG security officer: building site security jobs

What the job involves

On a building site you are the first person visitors and deliveries meet. During the day you control the gate, check drivers and operatives in, and keep the site log. At night and weekends you patrol the perimeter, check plant and materials, and respond to anything the cameras or alarms pick up.

We work for contractors including John Sisk & Son, so you will follow site safety rules properly. Every site has written assignment instructions and our control room checks in through the shift.

What you need

A valid SIA security guarding or door supervision licence.
A CSCS card is useful on many sites. Tell us if you hold one.
Safety boots and hi vis. We supply the KBG uniform.
The right to work in the UK and a five year history for BS 7858 vetting.

Shifts

Construction sites run day gatehouse shifts, 12 hour nights and weekend cover. Some sites need cover only while the site is closed. See our page on 12 hour security shifts for how 24 hour rotas work.

Where we recruit
