What actually goes wrong
Somebody has to open the gates at 6am and lock them after the last person leaves. When that somebody is a site manager or caretaker, it means early starts, late finishes and a lone person checking an empty building in the dark. When they are off sick, the site does not open.
Our officers open and lock your premises at agreed times, check the building as they go, and log the visit with time and location. If they find a door forced or someone still inside, they deal with it and our control room follows your escalation plan.

What is a lock and unlock service?
An SIA licensed officer visits your premises at agreed times to open up in the morning and lock up at night. They check the site as they go, set or unset the alarm and log the visit.
What kind of sites do you open and lock?
Construction sites, car parks, public parks, schools, offices, industrial units, retail premises and places of worship. If it has a gate, a shutter or a door, we can open and lock it.
Can you do open up and lock ups at weekends and bank holidays?
Yes. Many clients use us only at weekends, over holidays or when their own keyholders are away, and every day the rest of the time.
What happens if the officer finds someone on site at lock up?
The officer asks them to leave where it is safe to do so. If there is a problem, they contact our control room, which follows your escalation plan and calls the police if needed.
Can lock and unlock be combined with keyholding and patrols?
Yes. Most clients combine it with keyholding and alarm response, and some add mobile patrol visits through the night.
