The challenge

What actually goes wrong

Concierge and reception security officer on duty

The front desk is where your building is first judged. A concierge officer needs to greet people properly, handle deliveries, deal with contractors and answer questions. They also need to spot the person who should not be there and stop them without causing a scene.

We pick officers for reception roles who are good with people, then train them on your building, your visitor system and your procedures. They keep the logs, run the access control and know exactly who to call when something goes wrong.

Tailgating

People following staff through doors and barriers get into areas they should never reach.

Unchecked visitors and contractors

Without a proper sign in, you do not know who is in the building in a fire or after a theft.

Aggressive visitors

Reception staff without security training are left to deal with angry or threatening people.

Poor first impressions

An unhelpful or scruffy front desk reflects on everyone who works in the building.

From your first call to officers on site

A clear, managed process, so you know what is happening and who is responsible at every stage.

  1. Talk to a manager

Not a call centre. Someone who knows security asks the questions that decide what your site needs.

  2. Free site survey

We walk the site and look at access, lighting, blind spots and what is worth protecting.

  3. Written plan and price

Hours, officer profile, patrol routes and reporting, set out line by line.

  4. Officers on site

Briefed on your site rules and checked in with our control room through every shift.

Concierge and reception: your questions

Cannot see your question? Call us on 0845 388 0348, any time of day.

What is concierge security?

Concierge security combines a front of house welcome with a security role. The officer greets visitors, manages the front desk and controls access, and is trained and licensed to deal with problems.

Are your reception security guards SIA licensed?

Yes. Every officer is SIA licensed and vetted to BS 7858, and we train them on your visitor and access systems before they start.

Can concierge officers work in residential blocks?

Yes. We provide concierge officers for apartment blocks and residential developments, handling visitors, deliveries and contractors.

What do your officers wear on reception?

Usually a suit or smart corporate uniform, agreed with you so they fit the building.

Can you cover holidays and sickness for our in house reception team?

Yes. We can provide trained cover for absences as well as full time contracts.
